What to do if the Water is Cloudy?

Maybe you get up one day and see the water strange. Of these times you wonder what could have happened so that the water is that way if you have not done anything different in your day to day or with the fish. This can often come from a fault in the aquarium's air pump, whether it's too dirty, or it starts to fail (which can happen).

Whether one reason or another, the first solution we can take in this situation is to empty, not an aquarium room, but two rooms, to replace the turbid water with water in good condition. I advise you to take the opportunity to clean the bottom removing the water from the bottom, that is as if you were replacing for a quick clean.

The next step is to remove the filters, the aquarium water pump and aquarium decor to clean it well. It could be that those filters are also dirty and that's why everything has got muddy. However, if the pump has algae or products in the inner tube then I can tell you that it would be best to completely empty the aquarium.

The fact of having foreign bodies in the pump tube makes us suppose that there may be algae inside the compartment where the filters and the aquarium water pump are housed and that, after two or three days, it will have us again with the water cloudy

Once all the water has been replaced, it is advisable to apply anti-algae products to prevent the formation of the same, as well as a product to remove the chlorine from the water and also to create bacteria in it.

In the shops of animals, they also sell a product that can be used to rinse the water. I have tried it and it has not given me many results but you can try it yourself. They usually have about 24 hours to work at all and can repeat those times a second time before recommending you empty the aquarium.
